Sub:- School Education  –  Functioning  of  Schools  during  the SSC Public Examinations May 2022 / Summative Assessment-II for the year 2021-22 – Certain instructions issued.

The attention  of  all the  Regional  Joint  Director  of  School Education and  District  Educational  Officers  is  invited  to the  references,  wherein certain guidelines were issued regarding the conduct of  Summative Assessment-II  for  classes  I to IX during  2021-22 and Baseline  Assessment on  05.05.2022 in connection with “Learn A Word a Day”.

2.      Further,  it  is informed  that Summative  Assessment-II  for  classes  I to V  and  VI  to  IX  during   2021-22  will  be completed   by  26.04.2022  and 04.05.2022  respectively.   It   is  aware   that,   certain   High  Schools   are constituted as examination centers in respect of SSC  Public Examinations, May 2022.  Keeping in this view Summative Assessment-II for  classes VI to IX is scheduled from 2.00 PM to 4.45 PM.

3.     In this regard,  the following guidelines are issued for  smooth conduct of   SSC   Public  Examinations,  Summative  Assessment  –  II  and  revision sessions and Baseline Assessment in respect of “Learn A Word a Day”.

• I. All Schools  from Classes  I to V shall  function  from 8.00 AM to 10.30 AM  for   revision  sessions  in  respect of  the “Learn  A  Word a  Day” programme  from 27.04.2022  onwards  duly  providing  the Mid-Day meal by 10.30 a.m.
• II. Wherever the school functions from Classes I to X and constituted as SSC   Public  Examination  Centers  in   such  schools’,  students  from Classes I to IX shall be permitted by 1.00 PM duly providing Mid-Day Meal  in  between  1.00 PM  to 1.30 PM  and the revision  session  of “Learn A Word a Day” for  I to V classes from 2.00 PM to 4.30 PM. SA- II examinations to Classes VI to IX from 2.00 to 4.45 PM.
• III. Wherever the school functions from Classes I to X and not constituted as SSC  Public Examination  Centers  in  such schools’,  Classes  I to V shall  function  from 8.00 AM to 10.30 AM for  revision  sessions  “Learn A Word a Day” programme from 27.04.2022 onwards duly providing the   Mid-Day  meal   by  10.30  a.m.   SA-II   examinations   shall   be conducted to Classes VI to IX from 2.00 to 4.45 PM providing the Mid-Day meal from between 1.00 PM to 1.30 PM.
• IV. Pre-High Schools  (UP schools)  shall  follow either  the II or  III of  above points accordingly

4.       Therefore, all the  Regional Joint Directors of  School Education and District Educational Officers in  the State are requested to take necessary action accordingly.

5.     These instructions should be followed scrupulously.
